Amethyst Agate is primarily made of Agate with Amethyst Quartz crystal inclusions, as well as Blue-Grey Chalcedony.

Amethyst, like Agate, is a type of Quartz, however unlike microcrystalline Agate and Chalcedony where you can't see visible crystals with the naked eye, Amethyst Quartz forms clearly visible Amethyst Crystals, including sparkling Druzy Crystals.
